MYTH #1:
Aerobic exercise is all the exercise you need to effectively control your weight.

FACT: Combining a conventional aerobic exercise program with a
calorically restricted diet does little (if anything) to help you preserve lean
body mass during your weight reduction efforts. It is important to keep in
mind that the lower your lean body mass is the lower your resting metabolic
rate and normal bodily functions such as respiration and circulation will be.
As a result it is more likely that you will regain some or all the weight you lost.
The good news is, if you combine a routine such as this with a
strength-
training program (weight bearing exercises) the likelihood of maintaining
lean body mass while dropping weight is highly increased. If your not sure
how to properly achieve this, hire a trainer today. Life is short so don’t waste
any more precious time following fads or gimmick routines. Get started today,

MYTH #2:
I don’t have time to work out because I have a full time job, a family and too
many other obligations.

FACT:  Many people are afraid to take that first step toward success. But as the
saying goes, "you can’t steal second base without taking your foot off of first". In
this day and time it’s very easy to make excuses but remember excuses only hurt
yourself.  Do you ever watch an hour of television per day? Even 30 minutes?
Do you ever sit on your patio enjoying a glass of wine while reading the paper?
If you are
over-weight or out of shape these are perfect opportunities to use time
wisely and workout. It doesn’t even have to be everyday, just start with twice a
week by substituting "one of those things you do" with a training session. Soon
you will find that working out will leave you feeling more energetic and stress
free. Don’t wait until it’s to late, the longer you wait the harder it is to get
started. The obesity rate in America is skyrocketing; don’t find yourself, later in
life over weight and dependant on medications to keep you alive. Find the time
to take care of "YOU" ...... NOW!
MYTH#3:  NUTRITION MYTHS
The Recommended Daily Allowance nutrient recommendations apply to
bodybuilders and other athletes

FACT: Athletes have different required nutritional needs than an average
inactive person.
MYTH#4:  NUTRITION MYTHS
I will be healthier if I stay away from fats, sodium and sugar.

FACT: Unless you are diabetic, have hyper-tension or retain water ,there's
nothing wrong with
unsaturated fats and sugars! Moderation is the key. As for
sodium, seek medical advise before eliminating it from your diet. Sodium
occurs naturally in foods and serves many important functions in the body.
